What happened
The driver of a Renault Kwid cut in and jumped the queue on Modderfontein Road near Parkland Drive, squeezing in directly in front of the reporting vehicle with barely any gap. Shortly afterwards, the driver went through the intersection of Modderfontein Road and Centenary Street without stopping while the traffic light was out of order. Under South African road rules, an intersection with a non functioning traffic light must be treated as a four way stop.
