Removal requests
Listings are reports by members of the public, reviewed by our moderators. We take mistakes seriously. If a listing is wrong or unfair, or breaks our rules, this is how to ask us to remove it.
Who can ask
- The owner or driver of a vehicle in a listing who believes the report is wrong.
- Anyone whose face or personal information is visible in a listing.
- Anyone who sees a listing that breaks our content rules.
- The person who submitted the report.
How to ask
The quickest way: open the listing and tap "Report this listing". Choose the reason that fits best, explain what is wrong and leave an email address so that we can reply. If a listing shows a face, choose "Shows faces" so that we can act quickly.
If you submitted the report yourself: you can ask for its removal under My account.
By email: send the link to the listing and your reasons to info@padvark.co.za.
What to include
- the link to the listing;
- why you believe it should be corrected or removed;
- if you are the vehicle owner, anything that supports your side, for example that you had sold the vehicle or that the plate was misread;
- an email address where we can reach you.
We never publish anything you send us, and we only use it to deal with your request.
What happens next
A moderator looks at every request. Depending on what we find, we may leave the listing as it is, correct it (for example by removing private information or a photo), or remove it completely. We let you know the outcome by email.
Listings that show faces are hidden as soon as we see the problem. When three people report the same listing for showing faces, it is hidden automatically until a moderator has checked it.
We aim to respond to requests within 7 working days.
Legal requests
If you are sending a formal legal request, such as a request under POPIA or a notice about defamation, please email info@padvark.co.za with your full details.
