What happened
The driver of a white Nissan Hardbody NP300, registration ML 73 GG GP, failed to stop at the out of order traffic light on Marlboro Drive, travelling towards the highway at the intersection by the KFC. Under South African road rules, an intersection with a non functioning traffic light must be treated as a four way stop, where every vehicle comes to a complete stop and proceeds in order of arrival. A white Mercedes Vito also failed to stop at the same intersection shortly afterwards, but its registration number could not be read clearly on the footage and is therefore not published.
